A Design Masterpiece
Spirit Investment Partners designed and Rohner Press produced the packaging for Rare Hare Spirits’ Lucky Bastard whiskey. The result is something that looks like a priceless work of art from a far-flung land.
Exquisite Materials and Finishes
Firstly, the elegant hard cover case uses Winter & Company’s Wibalin Ruby Stria [PaperSpecs PRO Members: Get Swatchbooks!] and features a repeated, intricate pattern rendered in Red Hot Foil Stamping for a trendy tone-on-tone look. Secondly, the fine-linen finish of the cover material and overall sturdiness of the box create a memorable haptic experience.
Attention to Detail and Functionality
The Gold Hot Foil Stamped “Rare Hare Lucky Bastard” logo sits in a knocked-out area, framed by Foil patterns. On the side, the “Lucky Bastard” name and Playboy logo appear in Gold Foil against a Red Foil background.
On the opposite side, a Golden Yellow ribbon–pull and a design gap beneath the lid make opening it a breeze, providing a stylish alternative to the traditional thumb notch. A strong magnetic closure adds an extra touch of class.
Unveiling the Treasures Inside
Opening the lid reveals the beautiful whiskey bottle nestled snugly inside a Laser-Cut grotto, cushioned by a velvety interior. The same Wibalin Ruby Stria cover material surrounds the bottle.
Surprisingly, a playing card tuckbox rests beneath it. With the name “Lucky Bastard” on its spine, it resembles an ornamental nameplate beneath a work of art.
Meanwhile, the playing card box proves even more intricate still, with an outer sleeve of Neenah Classic Crest Epic Black [PaperSpecs PRO Members: Get the Swatchbook!] covered in an Embossed and Gold Foil enhanced pattern.
The Rare Hare rabbit head logo dominates one side of the pack, with a Laser–Cut window on the other. The Gold Foiled “Lucky Bastard” name on Neenah Classic Crest Red Pepper peeks through the window. A Gold Foiled Red label neatly seals the cards inside the tuckbox sleeve.
An Exclusive Experience
To complete this limited-edition experience, a single poker chip is tipped-on the lid, surrounded by a Gold Foil pattern and the simple legend “Welcome to the Club.” Scanning the NFC-enabled chip with your phone whisks you to the Rare Hare Spirits website.
